Truth be told, Halloween has never been our favorite holiday. Not being fans of scary/spooky, we have always somewhat avoided it in our design work. After being asked this year to offer some ideas that might fit in with our aesthetic, we couldn't resist including a class celebrating a decidedly glamorous take on Halloween... let's make one together!!
Two stunning machine embroidered lace bats (!!), created exclusively for you in our studio, are the focal point in the Moonlight Garden. They fly into the night anchored by a silvery sequin moon and beaded lace clouds. The garden is filled with pale sparkly flowers and shadowy vines. Beautifully haunting (in the best possible way.) 😊
Our favorite heavy French linen will be pre-fringed and embroidered with a highly detailed Gothic gate design, and we will then add hand-cut flowers, sequin fabric, new and vintage trims, and a glorious brooch. Finishing touches include a wooden dowel with finial ends, a generous length of rosary chain to hang and exquisite 6" silky black fringe. All supplies included.
We will be creating our "Moonlight Garden" together on Saturday, October 5th at the Clubhouse at the Summit Turtle Ridge in Irvine, California, from 12-4:30 pm. Please join us as we celebrate the season with a festive poolside lunch before getting started on our project. Beverages, treats and special surprises will also be on the schedule!
This collaged banner measures a generous 12" x 17", plus a hanging rosary chain and a 6" silky black fringe. Such a wonderful heirloom project that will feel right at home with any decor style!
But wait! There's more! If you cannot make it to class, you have the option of ordering a kit that we will mail directly to you on October 1st, along with a tutorial. Yay!!
** This is truly a case of "So much prettier in person !!" **
The photos give the impression that there are "orange-y" flowers in this design. They are actually a soft tea-dyed color, and the overall look is very neutral.
